Paper Planes

Paper Planes is a clothing brand owned by Roc Nation, the entertainment company founded by Jay-Z. I love working with this brand, they ignite my creativity as a content creator. Their fusion of streetwear with luxury, symbolized by the iconic paper plane logo, aligns perfectly with my passion for storytelling. Creating video content for Paper Planes isn’t just a job; it’s an adventure. Their mantras, ‘The paper plane teaches you to imagine’ and ‘Greatness is a process,’ resonate deeply with my soul. Together, we’re not just making fashion statements — we’re crafting narratives of ambition, dreams, and the journey of chasing greatness.

Paper Planes X Super Rare

For this project I played a pivotal role in the visual storytelling of the collaboration between ‘Superare’ and ‘Paper Planes’. As the director of photography and editor, I infused the campaign with a gritty, 90s New York vibe, reflecting the authenticity of both brands. Shot in my neighborhood, I leveraged local insights to capture the essence of the bustling streets and the intensity of the ‘Hiit the Deck’ boxing gym. The campaign, featuring John ‘The Machine’ Vallejo, not only embodied the mantra ‘Greatness Is a Process’ but also marked a resounding success with a rapid sell-out of the collection. Collaborating with the Paper Planes art director Drew McCarver, I was able to harness the brands creative vision and bring the story to life through film.

Summer Campaign

Stepping into the vibrant energy of NYC’s Chelsea district, I had the privilege of working on the Paper Planes summer campaign at the renowned Jack Studio. This two-day shoot, set against both day and night backdrops, was buzzing with creativity as we captured a diverse array of looks. Although the focus was primarily on photography, I adeptly seized the opportunity to capture dynamic video footage. Skillfully working around the photoshoot, I caught those candid, in-between moments that truly brought the spirit of the campaign to life. The client was thrilled with the final social media cut and the behind-the-scenes (BTS) reel I compiled. And yes, I couldn’t resist – the yellow shorts and green outfit from the shoot became my go-to summer look!
